By now, you’ve probably seen the announcement from the Antiques and Collectibles Association of America (ACAA) that the industry will be expanding to a larger swath of America.
And if you’re not in a position to make a decision on whether or not to participate in the marketplace, there are plenty of good reasons to do so.
But what is it about the marketplace that makes it worth your time?
First of all, the ACAA is launching the first major expansion of the marketplace in the U.S. since 2009, and it’s the result of years of lobbying by industry leaders.
That’s a remarkable accomplishment, especially considering the market was initially launched in China in 2011, and there’s a lot of work to be done.
As the Washington Post reported last week, the market is one of the biggest and fastest-growing of its kind in the world, and that’s not to mention that the U.”s antiques industry has seen a lot growth in recent years.
The number of listings for antique items rose by more than 40 percent from 2016 to 2017, the industry reported.
“In fact, it seems to be a little bit of a miracle that this is happening. “
If you look at the statistics, it’s very impressive,” ACAA President Bill Sissel told reporters.
I think there’s been a tremendous amount of attention paid to this, and we’re very proud to be here in the United States.” “
And so the fact that it’s happening at all is really quite remarkable.
I think there’s been a tremendous amount of attention paid to this, and we’re very proud to be here in the United States.”
Sisseldorp’s organization is leading the way in the field of modern antiques and is building a new network of dealerships and retailers to help support this expansion.
It has also partnered with a local antique dealer and a local furniture retailer to help make the marketplace a more viable option for new and experienced sellers.
But that’s just the beginning of the expansion.
There are a number of other reasons to get involved in the market, as well.
As Sissell told reporters, the first thing to understand is that antiques are a very popular type of material.
“We know that, at a time when many Americans are searching for new types of material, there’s an appetite for it,” he said.
“It’s a material that we are familiar with.
There’s a big demand for it.”
But the market also has a lot to offer collectors, especially the young and the tech-savvy.
Antiques have been used as the medium of choice for many years, and they’re not going away any time soon.
We can’t afford to stop there.” “
Antiques are the new art form.
We can’t afford to stop there.”
It’s also an incredibly popular hobby.
The average value of an antique today is roughly $1,200, according to McAfee.
That number is projected to climb to $4,600 in 2026, according the ACIA.
And many people, like Sis, want to own an antique.
“I think it’s an exciting time,” McAfee said.
